Bury North MP James Frith is asking local people to put forward nominations for local businesses to win a Parliamentary award.

The Responsible Business Champions award, run by a cross-party group of MPs and Peers in the All-Party Parliamentary Corporate Responsibility Group, seeks to highlight the work of amazing businesses across the country.

The aim of the award is to promote businesses which support the local community, invest in healthy workplaces, offer apprenticeships and training, work to reduce their environmental impact and support responsible business practices.

James is seeking nominations to put forth one local business for a Constituency Champion award. Winners of this award will be invited to Parliament in the summer and also be nominated for the National Responsible Business Champion Award 2018.

James said:

“We have a lot of brilliant businesses in Bury, Tottington and Ramsbottom. I want to show off the best responsible business we have to offer. If you run a business and would like to be considered or if you know of a business worthy of the award, get in touch. I’ll carry out a vote of nominated businesses to select my Constituency Champion, which will also be nominated for the national award.”

To nominate a local business, e-mail contact@jamesfrith.org, including your name and address, the details of the business you wish to nominate and a statement about why they deserve the award (no more than 500 words). The deadline for nominations is midday on Friday 30th March.
