Bury North MP James Frith joined members of Bury Clarion Cycling Club for a ride around Bury last week to see for himself the potholes which cause such problems for cyclists and motorists alike.
James and members of the club cycled around Bury and numerous potholes were highlighted as putting road users at risk, particularly cyclists.
“It was a pleasure to join members of Clarion on a bike ride around Bury. Whilst I am well aware of the state of our roads from driving around myself and from the casework I receive, it is quite different to see on two wheels. I am pleased that Bury Council is investing £10 million to address the problem but we need a lot more money from the government to do it properly.”
