James Frith Labour Parliamentary Candidate for Bury North
Bury North MP James Frith celebrated the 70th birthday of the NHS by visiting services across the town.
James visited and met staff at Bury Walk-In Centre, toured Fairfield General Hospital to meet patients and staff, celebrated with Bury’s community health team and hosted a Big7Tea party at Barista on The Rock to raise money for local NHS charities.
James said:
“I had a brilliant day celebrating the 70th birthday of our NHS with staff and patients past and present and supporters from across Bury. It was a pleasure to visit hospital and community services and reflect on the last 70 years and discuss the challenges we need to overcome to see our beloved NHS through the next 70.
“I’m also delighted that we were able to raise some money for local NHS charities at our Big7Tea event and I am extremely grateful to Vicky and the team at Barista for donating their time and providing free tea and cake.”
