To celebrate the UK’s first ever Green Great Britain Week, Bury North MP James Frith has pledged to make Bury a plastic-free town and support delivery of more renewable energy.
Green GB Week is an opportunity to celebrate the UK’s achievements in leading the world at cutting our emissions while growing our economy and explore the opportunities clean growth presents for businesses and communities in Bury and across the UK.
At the launch in Parliament, James said:
“The recent warnings from the IPCC on the serious consequences of climate change make the need for urgent action even clearer. That is why I have been delighted this week to see businesses and communities coming together to explore how we can all contribute to tackling climate change. For my part I pledged to help Bury become a plastic-free town and support the delivery of more renewable energy.”
